ABOUT BOOST

The Bolanle Olufolake Opeyokan Scholarship Trust (BOOST) Fund is a mission-driven initiative committed to unlocking opportunity for young women in technology.

We believe talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Across Nigeria, thousands of brilliant young women are unable to pursue careers in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) due to financial constraints, limited digital access, and systemic barriers.

BOOST exists to change that.

By providing targeted scholarships, digital access, and structured support systems, we empower young women to pursue ICT education and transition into meaningful careers that shape the future.

Our Mission

To empower dreams and change lives by giving young women access to opportunities in technology.

Our Vision

A future where women are fully represented in ICT—leading, innovating, and shaping the digital world.

We envision a world where
no girl is excluded from
technology because of her
background, financial
situation, or environment.

Founder’s Story

Our Story

BOOST was born from a simple but urgent realization — that too many brilliant young women are forced to abandon their dreams, not because they lack ability, but because they lack access.

Inspired by the vision and legacy of Bolanle Olufolake Opeyokan, the Foundation was established to create real opportunities for girls who dare to pursue careers in technology but face financial, digital, and societal barriers.

At its core, BOOST is a response to a gap that should not exist.

A gap where young women with the passion to learn, build, and innovate are held back by circumstances beyond their control.

Rather than accept this reality, BOOST was created to change it — by providing scholarships, access to digital tools, and the support systems needed to help these young women succeed.

Every scholar supported through BOOST represents more than an individual success story. She represents what becomes possible when opportunity meets potential.

This is not just about education.
It is about changing trajectories — for individuals, for families, and for the future of technology.

The Problem We’re Solving

Despite rapid growth in the global tech ecosystem, women remain significantly underrepresented—especially in developing regions.

  • Only 22% of STEM graduates are women, with even lower representation in ICT fields

  • Over 45 million women lack access to the internet

  • Girls in rural areas are 30% less likely to own smartphones or access digital learning tools

  • Cultural narratives continue to discourage girls from pursuing technology careers

These barriers are not about ability—they are about access.
BOOST is designed to systematically remove these barriers.

What We Do

We don’t just provide funding—we build pathways.

Scholarships That Open Doors

We provide financial support to help qualified young women enroll in and complete ICT-related programs without the burden of cost.

Digital Access That Enables Learning

We equip scholars with the tools and connectivity needed to thrive in today’s digital learning environments.

Mentorship & Visibility

We connect beneficiaries with role models, mentors, and networks that reinforce confidence and career direction.

Our Commitment

BOOST is committed to building a transparent, accountable, and impact-driven foundation that delivers real outcomes.

Every initiative is guided by a focus on sustainability, measurable progress, and long-term transformation.

Why It Matters

When a young woman gains access to education in technology, the impact extends far beyond the individual.

It creates economic independence, strengthens communities, and contributes to a more inclusive digital economy.

Closing the gender gap in ICT is not just a social goal — it is an economic and developmental necessity.

Our Approach

We believe that meaningful change requires more than intention — it requires structure.

BOOST takes a focused, practical approach to expanding access to technology education by addressing the key barriers that prevent young women from entering and succeeding in ICT.

We combine financial support with access, guidance, and long-term opportunity pathways — creating an environment where potential can translate into real outcomes.

Be Part of the Change

Every opportunity created begins with someone choosing to act.
Your support can help a young woman access the education and tools she needs to build a future in technology.
